The 1st "Binhai Cup" Service Skill Competition in the Tourist Hotel Industry in Weifang Is Successfully organized by On Nov. 6, Weifang Tourism Development Committee, Weifang Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security, Weifang Federation of Trade Unions, Weifang Municipal Party Committee of Communist Youth League, Weifang Women's Federation, Weifang Tourism Industry Association Hotel Industry Branch, Weifang Binhai District Tourist Administration and undertaken by Weifang Binhai Tourism Group Co., Ltd. is successfully held at Binhai District Dubai International Hotel and more than 80 competitors from all starred hotels in Weifang gather at Dubai International Hotel for showing their skills and competing for championship.
The competition is aimed at building a display and communication platform for skilled talents in the tourist hotel industry, promoting jobholders to learn skill, gain professional proficiency and improve their skills as well as enhance service level of tourist hotels in Weifang by means of various professional competitions regarding hotel service.
The skill competition is divided into six parts-theory test and Chinese banquet table, western banquet table, Chinese bed making, Chinese cooking of hot food, Chinese cooking of cold dish as well as Chinese pastry. After the judge issues an order, the competition officially commences, and all competitors vie with each other and make full use of every minute to carry out fierce competition; All the competitors in the cooking area become "masters of illusion", and various food materials become reeky delicacies instantly after frying, roasting and boiling; Sweet potato, potato and even a flow and a leaf become wonderful artworks upon cold dish chefs' artistic and inspirational processing; In the banquet table area, placing and positioning bone plate as well as placing soup ladle and soup bowl are conducted. Each placement and forming seem to be simple, but are completed after competitors' countless sweat every day and boring repeated muscle memory practice for hundreds of times; Chinese bed making, shaking bed sheet, positioning, wrapping angle, etc. are expertly completed from beginning to end without stopping, which shows competitors' adept professional skills.
Top and professional judges from every field ensure the competition is open, equitable and just in accordance with high standard and strict requirements, with tape and measure gauge and even fingers, by communication and giving a mark on the scene and based on their profound specialized knowledge as well as noble and dedicated professional spirit.
After fierce competition, the first prize, the second prize and the third concerning Chinese banquet table, western banquet table, Chinese bed making, Chinese cooking of hot food, Chinese cooking of cold dish as well as Chinese pastry are confirmed, in which ZHAI Yongyong from Oriental Hotel wins the first prize of Chinese cooking of hot food, LI Wei from Oriental Hotel also wins the first prize of Chinese cooking of cold dish, FENG Yanwei from Fuhua Hotel wins the first prize of Chinese pastry, LIU Dan from Oriental Hotel wins the first prize of Chinese banquet table because of being more skillful, LIANG Xiaojuan from Fuhua Hotel wins the first prize of Western banquet table, and another competitor from Fuhua Hotel-WANG Ying wins the first prize of Chinese bed making due to excellent performance.
A batch of technical experts emerge in the competition and the competition gains the desired effect, and competitors from all hotels display their style and level as well as effectively improve their business skill level by exchanging experiences as well as learning and communication with each other.
As an important constituent part of the tourism industry, development of tourist hotel industry has received much attention.
